The Courtile platform is intended exclusively for legal professionals and organisations, including practising advocates, law firms, and their authorised staff. By creating an account, you represent that:

• You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.
• Your use of the Service will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing the practice of law in your jurisdiction.

2. Account Registration

To access the platform, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
• Promptly notifying us at info@courtile.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that violate these Terms.

3. Subscription and Payment

Access to certain features of the Courtile platform requires a paid subscription. Subscription details, pricing, and billing cycles will be presented at the time of purchase.

• All fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected.
• Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment providers.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on any third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its related systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code or perform denial-of-service attacks.
• Share your account credentials with individuals outside your authorised organisation.

5. Ownership of Data

You retain full ownership of all data, documents, and content you upload to the Courtile platform ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Courtile a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will not access, use, or disclose your User Content except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Courtile name, logo, platform design, software, and all related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Courtile. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property for any purpose other than accessing and using the Service as permitted.

7. Confidentiality

You acknowledge that the information you store on the Courtile platform may include privileged and confidential client communications. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all professional conduct rules and confidentiality obligations applicable to the legal profession in your jurisdiction.

Courtile treats all User Content as confidential and implements appropriate safeguards. However, it is your responsibility to assess whether the platform meets the standards required for your professional obligations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Courtile shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@courtile.com. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be retained for a period as described in our Privacy Policy before being securely deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, without liability to you.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
